Summary

Ooooh， this was a great volume！ Everything flowed so gracefully it was easy to imagine the scenes in motion。 Kusanagi’s art style is enthralling and her writing is commanding。 I’m constantly flipping back and forth to take everything in and appreciate what’s happening。 Yona continues to be a badass breaking the constructs of royalty and gender。 It’s a real treat to watch her defend herself with words and her fighting skill。 As they grow closer I can really see the shades of Hak in Yona。 I know I Ooooh， this was a great volume！ Everything flowed so gracefully it was easy to imagine the scenes in motion。 Kusanagi’s art style is enthralling and her writing is commanding。 I’m constantly flipping back and forth to take everything in and appreciate what’s happening。 Yona continues to be a badass breaking the constructs of royalty and gender。 It’s a real treat to watch her defend herself with words and her fighting skill。 As they grow closer I can really see the shades of Hak in Yona。 I know I’m going to enjoy a volume when Tae-Jin is involved and he didn’t disappoint。 He’s so eager， loyal， and pure of heart it’s hard to imagine he’s the same kid who was harassing Yona in their younger years。 The dragons took more of a backseat， aside from Green Dragon， with more of a focus on Hak this volume。 It’s great to get a chance to see him in battle given he stepped down from his post as general of the wind tribe。 I can’t wait to see how the Kai Empire attempts to address the Thunder Beast in the next volume。 。。。more

This volume was absolutely incredible and passed by so fast I didn't even notice I was already reading the next one。 This arc slowly reaches its peak with Yona， Yoon， Zeno and Jaeha being held hostages by King Kuelbo。 Despite their situation， Yona keeps her fiery spirit and I'm more proud of her than ever。 In the meantime， Hak allies himself with the Sky and Fire tribe to prepare for a war against Kuelbo's army。 Old ennemies side together and finally recognize each other's talents in this intens This volume was absolutely incredible and passed by so fast I didn't even notice I was already reading the next one。 This arc slowly reaches its peak with Yona， Yoon， Zeno and Jaeha being held hostages by King Kuelbo。 Despite their situation， Yona keeps her fiery spirit and I'm more proud of her than ever。 In the meantime， Hak allies himself with the Sky and Fire tribe to prepare for a war against Kuelbo's army。 Old ennemies side together and finally recognize each other's talents in this intense fight （well， mainly Hak's talent）。Hak shines impossibly bright in this manga。 We finally see more of him as an outstanding fighter， but also a very good military strategist。 But he never forgets who taught him these strategies， which is Soowon himself。 That one scene when he rose up after seeing Yona's necklace just to order around the others so they obey his new genius plan that he stole from Soowon was incredible and says so much about his character。The ending was incredible and I can't wait to read MORE because I just want to know what happens next。 This fight is just too good and probably one of my favourite moments from AkaYona。 。。。more
